Last of the Summer Wine


Last of the Summer Wine is a British TV sitcom which was filmed in Yorkshire, created and written by Roy Clarke. It was originally broadcast by the BBC from 1973 to 2010. With an impressive 295 episodes. Last of the Summer Wine was set and filmed in and around Holmfirth West Yorkshire England.

It is centered on a trio of elderly gentlemen and their youthful misadventures.
War veteran Foggy, easy going,everyman Clegg and mischievous and impulsive Compo. Along with a broom wielding humourless battle axe Nora Batty.
A stage adaptation which debuted in 2003 based on Clarke's novel The Moonbather. This play was first performed in Scunthorpe Little Theatre Club in 2003. It was later performed in Eastbourne by Eastbourne Theatre in July 2009 before touring the country.

Our production features the trio as they attempt to get to the bottom of the disturbance created by a near naked man in town. Introducing new characters Constance, Nora's niece. A librarian who is the long standing fiancée of Foggy's rival Gifford. Gifford a special constable who has pledged to apprehend the flasher with all night patrols in the village. Flasher,yet to be apprehended. Mystery man who streaks on a full moon.
