Is It Me Or Is It Hot In Here

A nurse of some 34 years, a stand-up comedian and musician, Zeph’s one woman show, is a combination of education about women’s health, naughty comedy gags and songs with ukulele accompaniment. Zeph has conceived and written a stage production which will reach thousands of women with the important message of ‘normalising the normal’ transition of menopause and breaking down the taboos around these often embarrassing subjects through humour.
The backdrop of images and health slides provide reinforcement whilst Zeph uses props and funny slides to provide a comic relief to the serious messaging. Zeph interacts with the audience encouraging some audience participation in the form of pelvic floor exercises to music and getting the whole auditorium to shout out ‘Dry Vagina!’ - A first for most theatres and probably audience members!
Zeph has been described as a ‘Zephervescent’ ball of energy and with her witty, naughty humour keeps the audience feeling warm and welcomed as if she is entertaining them in her own front room. She journeys hysterically through the history of menopause, on to the present day with a cheeky retrospective look at her nursing career and onto self examination with an enormous pair of knitted breasts.
