Chantel McGregor

CHANTEL LOUTH 31.03.18.jpg

Make sure you see the great blues rock guitarist Chantel McGregor for yourself! The highly decorated musician has been bestowed many titles as voted for at the British Blues Awards such as Young Artist Of The Year, Best Female Vocalist twice and Guitarist Of The Year twice.

She is accompanied by her band which includes drummer Keith McPartling and Colin Sutton on Bass.

McGregor began playing on a half sized acoustic guitar from the incredibly young age of three years old. As a child she realised that not only were electric guitars easy to play but they also made considerably more noise. Developing her talents through her lessons, she was jamming at the Melborn Hotel in her hometown of Bradford by the age of twelve.

Recognised as a child prodigy, she was approached by interested labels at the age of fourteen who were quick to try and change her style of singing, insinuating that she would be too intimidating towards a listening male audience - a suggestion that she cared little for and she continued to develop her own unique voice on her own terms.

Her debut album Like No Other was released by the label Tis Rock Music in 2011 and was produced by Livingston Brown (Shakira, Ed Sheeran, Kylie Minogue and Corinne Bailey Rae). It was followed in 2015 by her second outstanding album Lose Control which also saw Brown return for production duties.
