Audition Date Sunday 24th November

9.30am for Children,  2pm for Adults

Show dates Tuesday 12th - Saturday 23rd May 2020 7.30pm Weeknights, Saturdays 2.30pm and 7.30pm (No performance Sunday 17th)

Rehearsals on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Nights from the week commencing 20/01/2020 (You will only be called when required)

Oliver – Boy or Girl – playing age 8 – 11. Unbroken voices required.

The Artful Dodger – Boy or Girl - playing age 12 – 15

Fagin – Male – playing age 30+

Nancy – Female – playing age 18 -40

Bill Sykes – Male – playing age 25+

Mr Bumble – Male – playing age 30+

Widow Corney – Female – playing age 30+

Mr Sowerberry – Male – playing age 30+ (join chorus after their scene)

Mrs Sowerberry – Female – playing age 30+ (join chorus after their scene)

Noah – Male – playing age 16-20 (join chorus after their scene)

Mr Brownlow – Male – playing age 50+

Bet – Female – playing age 16+


Rose Seller – Female - playing age 16+

Strawberry Seller – Female - playing age 16+

Milkmaids – Female - playing age 16+

Knife Grinder – Male – playing age 16+

Both boys and girls aged 7 – 16 are invited to audition to play the orphans and Fagin’s gang.

Chorus roles a plenty and some minor roles available that the director will assign at the first rehearsal

Info for CHILDREN’s audition:-

  • Please arrive no later than 9.15am to ensure your child can be registered ready to start at 9.30am

  • Parents will need to wait at the theatre until the auditions have finished. We will audition the children who wish to be orphans/in Fagin’s gang first, followed by those wishing to audition for Oliver or Dodger.

  • Parents will not be allowed into the audition room. They will need to wait in the foyer for their children. The café will be open for the first part of the morning so you will be able to get refreshments.

  • All children will need to be able to demonstrate a basic London (cockney) accent.

  • All children will be expected to sing on their own or in small groups (this is dependant on the number of auditionees on the day).

  • If you have any specific health or access requirements for your child, please ensure that director Jamie Harris is made aware ideally beforehand and especially on the day.
